About the event
Learn the history of Memorial Day and its early beginnings as Remembrance Day. Guests will also enjoy a display of historic flags and patriotic items from within the Arbor Lodge Collection. A special program will be hosted on Saturday, May 23 at 11:30am in the Sunroom. Local historian, Amanda VanderBroek, will present "A Boy in Years, A Man in Deeds: Stories From Researching WWI Fatalities of Otoe County". Also on Saturday, May 23, guests will be entertained with “American Music Through the Years” a collection of American Patriotic and Folk songs performed by harpist Laurie Collingham.
