Hometown Heroes

In honor of the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence (1776-2026), the America 250: Nebraska City committee has compiled of list of 250 Nebraska City individuals and/or organizations from 1853 through today who are considered Hometown Heroes. Heroes include Nebraska City’s founding fathers and mothers, business leaders, teachers, community volunteers, organizations, elected officials, and unsung heroes.

 

Below is our current list of nominations... are we missing anyone?

Information on all nominees will be gathered in special AMERICA 250: NEBRASKA CITY HOMETOWN HEROES binders; one will be kept at Arbor Lodge and another will be given to the Morton-James Public Library.
