About the event
This commemorative display, held within the Arbor Lodge Mansion, honors both the Morton Family mothers and the nation's Founding Mothers. The exhibit includes: detailed historical information and rare photographs focusing on the influential women of the Morton household; a dedicated segment highlighting the diverse talents of Caroline Morton, the wife of Arbor Day founder J. Sterling Morton; and recognition of the women who helped shape the United States, aligning with the broader America 250 semiquincentennial themes of reflection and honoring national contributions.
