The Nebraska City Historical Society will host a U.S. Naturalization Ceremony on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Nebraska City Veterans Memorial Building. The public is invited to attend and celebrate this meaningful milestone with the nation’s newest citizens.
The Nebraska City Historical Society was selected as a host site following more than six months of review and consideration by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Department of Homeland Security. The Society successfully completed a detailed host site application process, making Nebraska City one of the limited numbers of community locations approved to host a naturalization ceremony.
A naturalization ceremony is the final and mandatory step in the journey to becoming a United States citizen. During the ceremony, eligible candidates take the Oath of Allegiance, officially pledging their loyalty to the United States, supporting and defending the Constitution, and receiving their Certificates of Naturalization.
