About the event

As we Celebrate America 250, it is important to remember the definition of freedom was not the same for all Americans. In a first-person portrayal of Barbara Kagi Mayhew Bradway, Dr. Sara Crook will recount stories of this early Nebraska City woman, and her connection with the Underground Railroad. Weather permitting, the program will be presented on the north portico of Arbor Lodge. In the event of inclement weather, it will be moved into the Arbor Lodge sunroom. The America250- Nebraska City and Friends of Arbor Lodge are sponsoring this program provided through Humanities Nebraska.
